Chevy was more than just a golden retriever—he was my best friend, my constant companion, and the greatest teacher of unconditional love. He had the kindest soul, a heart of gold, and a gentle nature that made everyone who met him fall in love. For those who knew us, our bond was something truly special. And for those who never got the chance to meet Chevy, I wish they could have experienced the love and joy he brought into my life.
Losing Chevy made me realize just how much he had given me—more than I even understood at the time. He was always there, in ways both big and small. Whether it was the way he leaned against me when I was feeling down, the excitement in his eyes every time I walked through the door, or just his quiet presence that made everything feel okay, Chevy had a way of making life better without even trying. He was my shadow, my source of comfort and my constant. It wasn’t until he was gone that I truly felt the weight of everything he had been for me. I knew I had to find a way to keep his spirit alive, to pour all the love he gave me into something meaningful. That’s how Chevy’s Table was born. A desire to keep his legacy alive, to honor his memory in a way that feels true to who he was. Every treat I make is one I know he would have loved—healthy, wholesome, and made with the same care and love I gave to him every day. I know he’s still right beside me, hoping for a scrap, making sure I get the recipe just right.
At Chevy’s Table, I believe that our pets deserve the best—because they don’t get nearly enough time with us. That’s why I use only fully organic, limited-ingredient recipes, inspired by Chevy’s own struggles with allergies and a sensitive stomach. I learned firsthand how important it is to feed our pets, pure, wholesome natural foods without unnecessary additives. I joke that Chevy had more specialists than I did—an ophthalmologist, a dermatologist, and a handful of veterinarians. While decorative cookies might look cute, I always asked myself, Would I have given this to Chevy? If the answer was no, then it doesn’t belong in Chevy’s Table.
